Grays Boatyard

**Location & Access:** Grays Boatyard is located in Westerly's Avondale village on the Pawcatuck River. This family-owned facility offers boat ramp access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. **Note:** The facility is currently undergoing construction with the south parking lot and primary boat ramp temporarily closed. However, the north half of the property remains open, providing shoreline access suitable for car-top boats and kayaks.

**Facilities & Services:** Beyond basic ramp access, Grays Boatyard operates as a full-service marina offering protected slips, moorings, and storage facilities. The 5-acre complex includes heated indoor storage and secure trailer parking, making it a good option if you need to leave your vehicle for extended periods.

**Nearby Paddling Opportunities:** The Pawcatuck River provides local paddling options, and the area is well-positioned for day trips to nearby coastal paddling destinations. Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge and Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge are located to the east in South Kingstown and Charlestown, offering additional recreational opportunities for kayakers and nature enthusiasts.
