Green Lake Picnic Ground offers convenient public access to Green Lake on the east side via County Highway A in Lakewood. This popular launch site features five boat ramps with ample trailer parking, making it well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The sandy lake bottom and multiple launch options provide reliable access for paddlers of all experience levels.
The facility includes picnic tables, grassy areas, and a boardwalk with wharf access to the downtown area, making it ideal for all-day visits. A cash-only donation box at the site handles daily pass fees, while annual passes can be obtained through the Town of Green Lake. An outdoor amphitheater hosts special events throughout the year, and swimming is available. Arrive early during peak times, as this is the most popular launch on the east end of the lake.
