Grenada Lake

Grenada Landing provides boat access to the expansive Grenada Lake and the Skuna River in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. The boat ramp here is just outside the Grenada Landing campground, which is reservable through Recreation.gov.

While the campground offers amenities like restrooms and a beach, boaters and paddlers should be aware that the boat ramp access can be limited during low water levels, which are common. A $5 launch fee may be required at many of the boat ramps around Grenada Lake, though some free options are available nearby.

The Skuna River flows into Grenada Lake, which is a large reservoir known for its excellent fishing and annual "Thunder on Water" festival. Caution is advised when boating, as debris and shallow areas can pose navigational hazards, especially in winter when water levels are lower. Experienced paddlers may enjoy exploring the river's winding channels, but should research water levels and flow before launching.
