About This Access Site
The North Abutment boat ramp provides access to Grenada Lake and the Yalobusha River in Grenada County, Mississippi. This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility is located at the northern end of the Grenada Dam and offers a paved ramp for launching boats, canoes, and kayaks.

The Yalobusha River flows into Grenada Lake at this location, creating a wide, slow-moving section of the waterway. This makes the North Abutment a popular spot for recreational boating, fishing, and paddling. However, water levels can fluctuate, so boaters should exercise caution and watch for potential obstructions, particularly during the winter months.

While the North Abutment Campground is reservable through Recreation.gov, the boat ramp and access point are open to the public. Visitors should check for any applicable fees or regulations before launching. Those without their own boats can also fish from the shoreline along the Yalobusha River below the dam.
