Grenada Lake South Abutment

The South Abutment A boat ramp provides convenient access to Grenada Lake on the Yalobusha River near Grenada, MS. This day-use facility features a functional boat ramp and a handicap-accessible pier, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters of varying ability levels. The area also includes a pavilion overlooking the Outlet Channel with nearby amenities such as restrooms, a playground, and a nature trail. Pavilion reservations are available through Recreation.gov (662-226-1679) for $50.

The Yalobusha River is a major waterway (Stream Order 8) with substantial flow averaging 3,731 cubic feet per second and a gentle gradient of approximately 2 feet per mile. However, water levels fluctuate seasonally, and **ramp access can be limited during winter low-water periods**. Boaters should exercise caution and watch for obstructions and shallow areas, particularly in cooler months. The lake itself encompasses 36,000 acres across the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers, offering excellent fishing opportunities and making this one of 15 ramps available on the water body.
