Griggs Park Drive provides convenient access to Griggs Reservoir on the Scioto River in Columbus. The launch area features two sets of boat ramps located just south of the Fishinger Road bridge. To reach the ramps from I-270 on Columbus's west side, take Mills Run east across the reservoir, turn right on Route 33 (Riverside Drive), and follow signs down to the launch area. Parking is nearby with less than 20 yards to the water access point.
The park itself offers more than just boating, with approximately 2.25 miles of bike and driving trails along the river, making it a good option for a full day outing. Griggs Reservoir Park also features nature preserves, disc golf, and picnic areas, appealing to families and recreational visitors. The calm reservoir waters make this an accessible spot for kayakers, canoeists, and other small watercraft.
