The public boat ramp and dock are conveniently located on the west side of the lake on 427th Lane near Palisade. This is a free-access launch site (no fees required), making it an affordable option for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters of all types.

The launch facility can accommodate boats up to 12-18 feet, though capacity may vary. With a mean depth of 18 feet and nearly 9 miles of shoreline, Gun Lake offers plenty of room for paddling and exploration.
