**Location & Access**
Guthrie Park is located at the north end of the Lake Cypress Springs dam in Franklin County, Texas. From Exit 146 off I-30 in Mount Vernon, take Texas 37 south for just over half a mile to FM 21, then head east approximately 6 miles. Turn south on FM 3007 and continue about 1.8 miles to reach the park.

**Facilities & Use**
This is a developed access point with a boat launch, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The park features an RV-only campground with 20 sites available year-round, along with amenities including picnic tables, grills, water, toilets, and showers. The facility is pet-friendly and caters to anglers as well as recreational paddlers. Several other nearby parks (Twin Oaks, Walleye, and Dogwood Parks) provide additional launch options within a mile of this site.

**Water Conditions**
Lake Cypress Springs offers a calm, impounded water environment ideal for paddlers of various skill levels. This is a flatwater paddling destination rather than a flowing creek, making it suitable for leisure paddling, fishing, and family outings.
