About This Access Site
Halls Lake is a 36-acre lake in Florence County, northeastern Wisconsin, offering public access via a dedicated boat ramp at the Halls Crossing Marina area near Fern. The shallow lake—with a maximum depth of just 4 feet—is well-suited for kayaking, canoeing, and small recreational boats. The ramp facility includes convenient amenities such as a dock/pier, auto and boat trailer parking, seasonal restroom facilities with flush toilets, and a trash dumpster. An aquatic invasive species inspection station is also available on-site.

The lake supports panfish populations, making it popular for anglers as well as paddlers. The shallow, calm conditions make this an ideal launch point for beginners or those seeking a relaxed paddling experience. Given its modest size and depth, Halls Lake works best for day trips and casual recreation. The facility's amenities and proximity to the Halls Crossing Marina area make it a convenient, well-developed access point for water sports enthusiasts in the Florence County area.
