**Location & Access**
Hamilton Reservoir's boat ramp is located in Holland, MA on the north basin near the dam, accessible via a concrete ramp off Mashapaug Road. The site offers 11-20 parking spaces. From Route 84, take exit 1 to Route 15 south, then turn left on Leno Road; the reservoir entrance will be on your left.
**What to Expect**
This is a state-managed launch serving both power and non-power boats, so expect mixed traffic including fishing vessels and recreational motorboats. Paddlers should note that launching kayaks and canoes from the boat ramp edge can be somewhat awkward given the presence of power boat activity. The reservoir is conveniently located near other popular paddle destinations in the Quinebaug River Watershed, making it a good hub for exploring the region's waterways.
**Nearby Recreation**
Beyond paddling, the area offers additional outdoor opportunities including Buffumville Lake (a 200-acre recreation area) and Conant Brook Dam, which features trails popular with hikers, mountain bikers, and cross-country skiers.
