Hanson Brook Lake

Hanson Brook Lake in Mapleton, Aroostook County, offers a public boat ramp for launching and retrieving kayaks, canoes, and motorized vessels. Access is controlled via a Master Lock system; if you don't have a smartphone for the system, you can contact local board members (Maureen Larson, Mickey Luttman, Joan Bergeron, or Lisa Marshall) to arrange access. The ramp is located near Skyway Industrial Park in Presque Isle.

**Important regulations:** Use the ramp only for launching and retrieving—trailers should not be parked on the ramp or lot. Motorized vessels are limited to 45 mph during daylight hours and must observe nighttime speed restrictions. Only one motorized vessel per lot is permitted at a time. Swimming, diving, and fishing are prohibited at this access site and along the rock wall at the lake's east end. As always, use the ramp at your own risk and consult Maine's boating and fishing regulations before heading out.
