**IMPORTANT:** Gremlin Cove Boat Ramp is currently temporarily closed due to low water levels and heavy sediment buildup. Check with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers before visiting to confirm access status.
When operational, Gremlin Cove serves as one of several boat launch points on Harlan County Lake, Nebraska's second-largest lake. The facility includes a boat ramp, parking lot, and basic amenities including restrooms. A day-use fee is typically charged from April through October, though the fee is waived with a paid camping permit. The ramp is generally accessible at most lake water elevations when conditions permit.
Harlan County Lake offers year-round recreational opportunities for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters, with fishing, hunting, sightseeing, and hiking available throughout the area. The lake is surrounded by mixed grass prairie land in south-central Nebraska near Republican City. Given the current closure notice, contact the Kansas City District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office for current conditions and information about alternative launch sites before planning your visit.
