**IMPORTANT:** Gremlin Cove Boat Ramp is **temporarily closed** due to low water levels and heavy sediment buildup. Before planning a trip, contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to confirm current conditions and access status.
When operational, Gremlin Cove provides boat launch access to Harlan County Lake, Nebraska's second-largest lake located near Republican City in south central Nebraska. The facility is a day-use area with parking and nearby amenities. A day-use fee is typically charged from April through October (waived with a paid camping permit), and the ramp is accessible at most lake elevations. The surrounding landscape features mixed grass prairie.
For current conditions, alternative boat ramps, and reopening updates, contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District or visit their official website. Other access points exist at Hunter Cove and Methodist Cove parks if Gremlin Cove remains unavailable.
