About This Access Site
Harriman Hill Access is a 30-acre Missouri Department of Conservation facility offering a boat ramp on the Lamine River near Chouteau Springs, Cooper County. Located just off I-70 at Exit 89 on Route M, this access point serves as a convenient mid-river stop—approximately 6.7 miles from the De Bourgemont access point. The site is ideal for kayakers and canoeists looking for a place to rest, resupply, or launch/take out. Note that recent bridge work on the east side may affect approach routes; check current conditions before visiting.

The facility includes six primitive campsites with fire rings and a privy, making it suitable for multi-day paddling trips. While the boat ramp accommodates motorized craft as well as paddle-powered boats, paddlers should be aware of the site's mixed-use nature. Harriman Hill is one of several MDC access points along the Lamine River, providing a good stopping point for both recreational trips and organized paddling events. Contact the Missouri Department of Conservation for current conditions, seasonal access details, and any updates on ongoing road construction.
