Hay Meadow Reservoir

Located at the end of Forest Road 703 in Nye County, Nevada, Hay Meadow Reservoir offers a primitive boat launch for paddlers and small watercraft. The ramp is very basic with uneven gravel surfaces, so be prepared to carry your boat across rough terrain to reach the water. A restroom facility is available on the point between the Fremont and UM arms of the reservoir.

This small, roughly 1-acre reservoir is designated for non-motorized and hand-launched boats only. **Important note:** The ramp is closed to all boat traffic when state boat inspectors are not on site, as mandatory inspections are required during boating season to prevent the spread of invasive mussels. Check current conditions and inspection schedules before visiting, as access may be restricted. This is a remote, undeveloped location best suited for paddlers comfortable with minimal facilities and primitive launch conditions.
