Hayes State Park

Hayes State Park offers a developed boat ramp providing access to Round Lake, a 100-acre lake nestled in the scenic Irish Hills of Lenawee County. The access features a concrete ramp with sandy sides suitable for kayaks and canoes, with the ramp extending less than 50 yards. Parking is available at the lot, along with pit toilet facilities for visitor convenience.

Round Lake connects to the larger 796-acre Wamplers Lake via a navigable channel, making it an ideal base for exploring both water bodies. The park's sheltered setting and rolling terrain provide a scenic paddling experience for kayakers and canoeists of various skill levels. As part of the 654-acre Hayes State Park, this access point is complemented by additional park amenities including a campground, fishing pier, swimming area, and trails—making it well-suited for a full day or multi-day recreation visit.
