About This Access Site
The HCR 33 Bridge access point provides one of the few public boat ramp options for the lower Nueces River in Uvalde County. Located near George West, this site offers direct river access suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. A bait stand is conveniently located at the site for anglers planning to fish. The ramp is positioned to launch into a section of the Nueces River that flows through scenic South Texas landscape.

**Getting There:** From Interstate 37, take the George West exit onto Business 59. At the traffic light where Highway 281 meets Highway 59, turn right and travel approximately 3 miles to Airport Road. Follow Airport Road to the County Park where the boat ramp is located. Before launching, contact local sources or check current conditions, as water levels on the lower Nueces River can vary seasonally. This site is particularly valuable for paddlers seeking public access to this portion of the river.
