Heart Butte Reservoir

Heart Butte Reservoir, located 15 miles south of Glen Ullin on Highway 49 in Grant County, North Dakota, offers a well-developed boat launch facility managed by the Bureau of Reclamation. The access point features barrier-free access along the highway and is one of 10 boat ramps available around the 142-foot-high Heart Butte Dam on the Heart River. The site includes six primitive campgrounds with wells and vault toilets, plus RV hookups and nearby lodging options, making it ideal for extended trips.
