Highline Lake State Park offers a convenient boat ramp for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats to access Mack Wash and Highline Lake. The ramp is located on the west side of the park, with nearby parking available.
Boating is permitted on the lake from March 1 through September 30, though the lake can reach capacity on busy weekends, requiring boaters to wait until others depart. Highline Lake is open to power boating, jet skiing, water skiing, sailboating, and other non-motorized watercraft. Visitors should be aware that Highline Lake and Mack Wash have been designated as "infested" for zebra mussels, so appropriate precautions should be taken.
The park offers an "oasis in the desert" with a variety of other recreational opportunities, including a campground, hiking trails, and world-class mountain biking just outside the park's borders. Paddlers and boaters can use this access point as a starting point to explore the calm, scenic waters of Mack Wash and Highline Lake.
