Located in Pelkie, Baraga County, this boat ramp provides access to the Sturgeon River at the Highway M-38 bridge. This is a Class I paddling section suitable for canoeists and kayakers of varying skill levels. The site offers a launching ramp for putting in at the bridge. No fuel services are available at this location.
This access point works well as a starting location for downstream paddling trips. A popular take-out is located just upstream from the Froberg Road Bridge on the roadside corner near a small farm field, making for a manageable day paddle. Boaters should plan accordingly for parking and shuttle logistics, especially if taking a longer trip downstream toward the Chassell boat landing area.
