About This Access Site
The Highway 52 Bridge access provides a convenient launch point onto the Santee River in Williamsburg County, SC. A narrow boat ramp is located directly under the US Highway 52 bridge, with ample paved parking available beneath the structure. This location offers good river views and serves as a practical starting point for exploring this section of the Santee River.

Paddlers should be aware of a few considerations when using this site. The area has experienced some vandalism in the past, so take standard precautions with your vehicle and belongings. From this launch, paddlers have approximately 4.7 miles of river to explore before reaching high-tension power lines that cross the river roughly 8 miles downstream, followed by a railroad trestle 2.3 miles below that. The ramp's narrow design may require some care when launching or retrieving boats, particularly during busy periods or with larger vessels.
