Holmes Lake's main boat ramp offers convenient access to this 112-acre recreational lake in Lincoln. The site features two concrete boat ramps and an accessible dock, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat launches. No motorboats are permitted on the lake, so you can expect a peaceful paddling environment shared only with other non-motorized watercraft like canoes and sailboats. The surrounding 270-acre park is managed by the City of Lincoln and provides ample amenities including picnic areas, walking trails, playgrounds, and fishing opportunities.
The Main Lake access area (Site 17 Golf Course Site) is well-developed with facilities beyond just boat launching, including a fishing pier and multipurpose trail. There are no launch fees for day-use access. Before visiting, note that boat ramp closures may occur seasonally for maintenance—check ahead if planning a specific trip, as construction projects occasionally restrict access to the ramps.
