About This Access Site
Holt Landing State Park provides **one of the only public boat launch points on Indian River Bay's south shore**, making it a valuable access point between Millsboro and Indian River Inlet. The facility features a two-lane concrete boat ramp that accommodates both motorized boats and personal watercraft including kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. A maintained channel extends 60 feet wide by 4 feet deep from the ramp, suitable for boats up to 25 feet in length.

The park's 24-hour access is ideal for paddlers planning around tidal conditions. Beyond the ramp, Holt Landing offers a 1.7-mile nature trail traversing three distinct ecosystems (beach, marsh, and forest) and picnic facilities, making it a good base for exploring the expansive Indian River Bay or planning longer paddling trips. Given that this is one of limited public access points in the area, arrive early during peak season to secure adequate parking and launch space.
