Located at Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park near Florence, the Cleawox Lake boat ramp provides convenient access to this popular freshwater lake in Oregon's coastal dunes region. The ramp is situated on the Cleawox Day Use side of the park, immediately after turning right from the main entrance. This is an excellent launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters exploring the scenic lake and interconnected waterways.
Cleawox Lake offers calm, protected paddling conditions suitable for various skill levels, with a sweeping sandy shoreline and clear water. The lake is well-developed for water recreation, featuring amenities including fishing docks, a diving platform, flush toilets, drinking water, and a camp store. Paddlers can explore the connected Woahink Lake via trails, and the park offers safe pedestrian/bicycle crossings. The area is popular for fishing (largemouth bass and rainbow trout), swimming, and paddleboarding.
The park has nearby campground options, including South Jetty Sand Camping, Tyee Campground, and Tahkenitch Campground, all reservable and within 10 miles. Plan ahead for seasonal closures at the main campground, and be aware that some facility access may be affected by construction activity during winter months.
