Honeysuckle Beach is one of only two public access points to Hayden Lake and offers the best-developed launch facility on the water. Located on the east end of Honeysuckle Avenue in Hayden, this site features a boat ramp suitable for various watercraft, including a rare option for launching swing keel sailboats. The facility includes a dock, sandy beach with a roped swim area, public restrooms, and a change house, making it ideal for both day trips and family outings.
Paddlers and boaters should note that Hayden Lake access requires a permit. Kiosk tickets can be exchanged for a ramp sticker by completing the Permit Registration Form and mailing it along with your ticket to 8930 N Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835, or by using the on-site drop box. Honeysuckle Beach is the primary public launching point for larger recreational vessels; Sportsman's Park on the northeast end and Tobler's Marina also provide access for smaller boats and dinghies.
The nearby Mokins Bay Campground (reservable) provides overnight accommodations within 10 miles. All non-swimmers are strongly encouraged to wear personal flotation devices on the water.
