About This Access Site
Hope Boat Ramp provides public access to Lake Weir, Marion County's largest lake. Located at 16050 SE 115 Ave. in Weirsdale, this historic access point has served boaters and paddlers since 1944, when it was generously donated to Marion County by Sam Phillips. The ramp is situated within Sam Phillips Park and is open during daylight hours (sunrise to sunset).

This is a park pass holder only facility, so visitors should come prepared with the required Marion County park pass. The boat ramp is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters launching onto Lake Weir's calm waters. Before heading out, paddlers should check current conditions and be aware of any boat traffic, as Lake Weir attracts various types of watercraft. The park setting provides a convenient base for exploring the lake's recreational opportunities.
