Hords Creek Lake (SW)

**Facilities & Amenities:** Hords Creek Lake is a 510-acre reservoir with a maximum depth of 39 feet, offering a scenic paddling destination surrounded by oak trees. The Lakeside facility provides a boat ramp, camping with water hookups, restrooms, showers, dump station, and swimming area. The campground is partially open year-round and fully operational March 1 through September 30. Note that no marina or boat rental services are available on the lake, so plan accordingly. **Recreation:** The lake is well-known for fishing (largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, and sunfish), making it popular with anglers. Before visiting, check the Army Corps of Engineers closure report online to confirm current facility status, as some areas may be seasonally closed.

All of the campsites have water and electric hookups, some have sewer hookups. Boat ramps, fishing piers and showers can be found throughout the campground. Also, six sites come with screened shelters to aid with windy weather.

The lake is nestled in the middle of Texas, surrounded by gently rolling hills dotted with Live oak trees.
