About This Access Site
Located in Waterville, Rice County, this public access site offers a well-maintained launch facility for paddlers and boaters on Horseshoe Lake. The 220-acre lake features a **large concrete boat ramp** and an "L"-shaped crib dock that provides some wave protection, though water near the dock end may be shallow. Paved parking accommodates 10 vehicles with trailers, and a portable restroom is available on-site.

Horseshoe Lake reaches a maximum depth of 53 feet, making it suitable for various water activities including kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The calm, protected dock area is particularly helpful for launching smaller watercraft. **Important note**: Zebra mussels have been detected at this access point, so be sure to clean, drain, and dry your equipment before and after use to prevent the spread of invasive species.
