About This Access Site
Ice House Point offers convenient public access to Black Hawk Lake in Lake View, Sac County, Iowa. This boat ramp facility features courtesy docks for easy launching and retrieval, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site is one of four primary access points around the lake, alongside Town Bay, 30 Acres Campground, and the Marina.

The area provides good amenities for a full day on the water. Nearby services include campgrounds, RV hookups, lodging, restaurants, bait and tackle shops, and a convenience store. Anglers will appreciate the universally accessible fishing pier and lakeshore access in the vicinity. If you're new to boating or need safety equipment, Town Bay has a loaner life jacket shed with free jackets available.
