Ichwhit Park offers a well-maintained public boat launch on the Siletz River at approximately river mile 6.7, within the tidal influence zone near Lincoln City. The facility features a paved concrete boat ramp, boarding floats, and dedicated parking for both trailers and passenger vehicles, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. A vault toilet is available on-site.
This is an active access point where Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and county law enforcement regularly patrol, so ensure you have required safety equipment (personal flotation devices and whistles) and valid fishing licenses if applicable. The location provides good access to the lower Siletz River, and paddlers can explore both the river proper and adjacent Bear Creek. The nearby Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge offers additional paddling opportunities in the estuary, while the Valley of the Giants Outstanding Natural Area provides scenic hiking access if you want to combine your trip with exploring the surrounding coast range.
