Located at the Mouth of Indian Creek in the Bluestone Wildlife Management Area near Mandeville, this access site offers boat ramps and a private campground facility on Bluestone Lake. The site features two boat ramps suitable for various vessel sizes, from larger boats to jon boats and canoes, plus a private boat dock. This is a secondary launch option; the main boat ramp for Bluestone Lake is located at the Pit Area off Route 20.
Bluestone Lake is West Virginia's third-largest lake with 2,040 acres of surface area, offering excellent opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and water sports. The campground is pet-friendly and non-reservable, making it accessible on a first-come, first-served basis. Amenities include camping facilities, a private porta-john, and nearby access to the scenic Bluestone National Scenic River and its rugged gorge. The surrounding area features multiple hiking and horseback riding trails through West Virginia's forested landscape, making it a good base for both water and land recreation.
