Located in Mobridge, the Indian Creek Recreation Area–West provides convenient public access to Indian Creek Bay on Lake Oahe. The site features two boat ramps and ample parking near the launch area, as well as additional parking at the park entrance and within the campgrounds. This makes it an accessible starting point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the bay and Missouri River system.
The recreation area is well-developed for water recreation, with amenities including a fishing pier and fish cleaning station. A South Dakota boating license is required and can be obtained online or at the recreation area. If you need additional services such as fuel, boat slips, or supplies, the privately-operated Bridge City Marina and Resort is located nearby and offers a floating fuel dock, c-store, and guide services.
