Iron Horse Trail Lake offers a developed boat ramp facility in Du Bois, Pawnee County, providing access to an 85-acre lake within a 360-acre recreation area. The ramp has been recently improved as part of a comprehensive lake restoration project and features a handicapped-accessible boat dock for convenient launching and landing. This makes it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and all types of recreational boaters.
The lake is designated as a no-wake zone, making it ideal for paddlers and those seeking a quieter water experience. Onsite amenities include parking, restrooms, picnic areas, and both tent and RV camping facilities. The lake supports a variety of fish species including bluegill, channel catfish, crappie, largemouth bass, sageye, and walleye, attracting anglers as well as recreational paddlers.
