About This Access Site
The Ivanhoe boat ramp is a public access point operated by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission on the Black River in Sampson County. Parking is available at the ramp, making it a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. This is one of three public access areas on the Black River in this region.
The Black River is a major river system (288 miles total length) with substantial flow averaging over 10,500 cubic feet per second and a moderate gradient of about 1.5 feet per mile.
