About This Access Site
**Location & Facilities**
Jackson Park offers a public boat ramp on Lake Kampeska, a large 5,250-acre lake west of Watertown in Codington County, South Dakota. This is one of six boat ramps providing access to the lake, with additional launch points located on the north, east, south, and west shores. The park is situated in the town of Watertown, making it a convenient access point for the central portion of the lake.

**Paddling & Boating Information**
Lake Kampeska is a popular destination for kayaking, canoeing, sailing, waterskiing, and fishing. Before launching, note that **all boaters are required to have an aquatic nuisance species (ANS) stamp, current boat registration, and must complete a pre-launch boat inspection** at the ramp. The lake's size and multiple access points make it suitable for various skill levels. For camping and additional amenities, Sandy Shores State Recreation Area is located on the south shore and offers camping facilities, swimming areas, and picnic sites.
