Jamestown Reservoir offers excellent recreational opportunities for paddlers and boaters in central North Dakota. The reservoir spans approximately 2,095 water surface acres with 45 miles of shoreline, providing plenty of area to explore by kayak, canoe, or motorboat. With seven boat ramps located at various points around the reservoir, you'll have multiple launch options to choose from.

The main access area includes well-developed facilities such as picnic areas with shelters, two swimming beaches, and two campgrounds with 335 total campsites (110 with RV hookups). For boaters planning a day trip or extended visit, amenities include boat rentals and concessions at the marina. The east side features over two miles of asphalt trails suitable for walking and biking if you want to explore the area on land as well.
