Jamestown Reservoir is a 2,095-acre impoundment in central North Dakota located just 2 miles north of Jamestown. The reservoir features 45 miles of shoreline and provides an excellent paddling and boating destination with multiple access points. This site offers one of seven boat ramps available around the reservoir, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger vessels.
The access area is well-developed with comprehensive facilities including two campgrounds (335 total campsites, with 110 offering RV hookups), picnic areas with shelters, two swimming beaches, and two dump stations. The east side of the park features over two miles of asphalt trails for walking and biking. The Lakeside Marina Boat Ramp nearby (at 2944-2966 E Lakeside Rd) offers additional amenities and services including boat rentals and concessions, making this an ideal base for multi-day trips or casual day outings.
