About This Access Site
Jasper Point offers a dedicated two-lane boat ramp on Prineville Reservoir along the Crooked River in the Juniper Canyon area near Prineville, Oregon. Located about 14 miles south of Prineville via Highway 27, this state-managed access point provides a courtesy dock and is suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The reservoir represents a calmer, impounded section of the Crooked River, making it more accessible for paddlers compared to the wild and scenic sections downstream.

The nearby Stillwater Campground (managed by the same area) offers affordable overnight camping with 10 campsites at $8/night on a first-come, first-served basis, plus day-use parking options. Amenities include vault toilets and lake access, though potable water and cell service are not available. Note that while Jasper Point's ramp status can vary seasonally due to silt management, it generally remains open when water conditions allow. For current conditions or alternative launch sites, contact the managing agency at 541-416-6700.
