About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** J.D. Dam Lake is a 28-acre man-made reservoir located about 19.5 miles southeast of Williams in Coconino County, Arizona. The site offers a public boat launch for easy water access. Facilities are basic and include parking, an outhouse, and trash receptacles. The nearest campground option is White Horse Lake, about 7 miles away; note that all camping at J.D. Dam must occur outside a 1/4-mile radius of the dam itself.

**Boating & Fishing:** This is an excellent spot for kayakers, canoeists, and anglers seeking a calm, scenic paddling experience. Important restriction: only electric motors are permitted—no gas-powered boats allowed. The lake is popular with anglers targeting tiger trout (16-18 inches) and rainbow trout (up to 20 inches) under a strict catch-and-release policy. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound in the area, and nearby Sycamore Point offers scenic views worth exploring.
