About This Access Site
The Jim Griffin access site on the White River in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, offers a concrete boat ramp and walkway down to the river. This is a popular spot for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters to access the White River.

The White River is a major waterway, measuring over 1,000 miles in length with an average flow of over 34,000 cubic feet per second. As a headwater stream, the river has a relatively steep gradient of 7.4 feet per mile on average. Boaters and paddlers should be aware of the river's power and changing conditions.

The Jim Griffin access is located across the river from the Forrest and Nina Wood State Park access. Barbless hooks are required to be used in this catch-and-release fishing area. The boat ramp and walkway provide accessible options for launching watercraft. Nearby recreation areas on Bull Shoals Lake offer additional opportunities for water-based activities in the scenic Ozark Mountain region.
