Joemma Beach State Park offers a convenient public boat launch on Case Inlet near Longbranch in Pierce County. The park features one concrete boat ramp with 500 feet of dock space available seasonally from mid-May through mid-October, providing up to 30 feet of moorage at low tide. The approach consists of sand and large gravel below a bulkhead, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. Boaters have right-of-way access to the docks, though moorage fees apply year-round for those using dock, float, and buoy facilities.
This is an excellent starting point for exploring Case Inlet and the surrounding waters of southern Puget Sound. Beyond paddling, the park offers camping, picnic areas with covered shelters, and beach access, making it ideal for day trips or overnight outings. The scenic setting features rocky shorelines, sandy beaches, and forested trails. For paddlers planning to visit, note that dock availability is limited to the May–October season, so plan accordingly for shoulder-season trips.
