About This Access Site
Joe's Pond is a 405-acre lake in Danville, Caledonia County, offering public boat access via a maintained launch managed by the Joe's Pond Association. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 78 feet, making it suitable for various watercraft. Note that this site has **no defined ramp**, so smaller boats, kayaks, and canoes are better suited for launching here than larger vessels.

**Access & Parking:** To reach the launch, travel 0.5 miles down Stancliff Road from the Stowe Land Trust sign. Drive down the left side of the hay field (between the property sign and neighbor's house) and park in the lower left corner at the treeline. This is a carry-down access point rather than a traditional boat ramp. Universal access and shore fishing opportunities are available for those with accessibility needs, and the site is maintained through winter for ice fishing.

This scenic mountain lake is a good option for paddlers seeking a moderate-sized body of water with reliable public access and popular fishing opportunities.
