Be aware that access can be limited during high water periods, so check river conditions before your trip. The Chipola River in this area offers scenic paddling through northwest Florida's natural landscape, making Johnny Boy Landing a convenient starting point for day trips or longer expeditions downriver.
**Directions:** From Marianna, head south on SR 71 to CR 274 near Altha, then turn right and travel approximately 2.3 miles before turning onto Johnny Boy Landing Road (less than a mile to the ramp).
