About This Access Site
Jones Bay Campground offers a small paved boat ramp and dock access to Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake, a large reservoir on the Columbia River near Sherman, Washington. The facility is situated in a remote, rustic setting with a desert landscape of sagebrush and antelope brush, appealing to paddlers and boaters seeking a quieter experience away from busier launch areas. The site includes parking, vault toilets, and an information kiosk, though it is unstaffed.

The campground is reservation-only ($23/night through Recreation.gov), and boat launch fees apply separately: $10 for a weekly pass or $60 for an annual pass. Access by car is possible but can be challenging to locate; the site is approximately 77 miles west of Spokane via I-90 and Sherman Draw Road. For general information and conditions, contact the main office at 509-754-7889. Nearby Sherman has groceries, restaurants, and camping supplies for any last-minute needs before launching.
