About This Access Site
The Kabetogama Lake Visitor Center offers boat ramp and marina access on the southwest shore of Kabetogama Lake, located 25 miles south of International Falls off Highway 53. This is a primary gateway for accessing Voyageurs National Park's 218,000-acre system of interconnected lakes and waterways. The facility includes a boat ramp, dock/pier access, parking for vehicles and boat trailers, and a visitor center with seasonal staff (late May through late September, and January through March). Contact the park at (218) 875-2111 for current conditions and operational details.

From this access point, paddlers and boaters can reach the park's frontcountry campsites directly by water, making it ideal for multi-day kayaking and canoe trips. Watercraft access to the marina area remains open as conditions allow. The visitor center serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the expansive lake system and can provide trip planning assistance and information about water conditions, campsites, and recreational opportunities throughout the park.
