About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
The Little Beaver Creek boat ramp is located near Kaw City in Kay County, approximately 16 miles east of Ponca City, Oklahoma. This access point provides launch facilities onto Kaw Lake, a major impoundment on the Arkansas River system. The lake features ten boat ramps and two full-service marinas (at McFadden Cove and Pioneer Park), making it a well-developed recreation destination.

**Water Conditions & Boating Character**
Kaw Lake sits on the Arkansas River, a major waterway with significant flow (averaging over 51,000 cubic feet per second). This is a large, mainstream river system capable of handling motorboats, sailboats, and paddle craft. The lake environment generally provides calmer conditions than the open river, making it more suitable for kayakers and canoeists. The area is popular with anglers targeting catfish, crappie, white bass, and walleye.

**Facilities & Recreation**
The area offers more than just water access—Bear Creek Cove Campground and other nearby facilities provide camping options, sandy beaches, and hiking/horseback trails along the eastern shore, including the Eagle View Hiking Trail. For specific information about ramp fees, hours, or current conditions, contact the Kaw Lake Office at 580-762-5611.
