Ke'ehi Harbor/Lagoon, Oahu

Ke'ehi Harbor/Lagoon offers boaters and paddlers access to the Pacific Ocean on the southern coast of Oahu. This public harbor has 350 slips and a large mooring field, with fixed pier docks and ample parking available.

The launch site is located between Honolulu Airport and Honolulu Harbor, about 5 miles west of Waikiki. It provides an entry point to the open ocean environment, though paddlers should be aware of potential wind and wave conditions. The harbor and lagoon offer sheltered waters for launching and landing smaller craft like kayaks and canoes.

This site is part of the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, though the launch area itself is free and open to the public. A visit to the USS Arizona Memorial is a solemn and sobering experience, even for those who were not alive when the attack occurred.  
The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, part of the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, is the primary portal for visitors coming to Pearl Harbor. It is open daily from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Interpretive programs available include a round trip boat trip to the USS Arizona Memorial and time spent on the memorial for reflection and contemplation. USS Arizona Memorial programs run frequently throughout each day. The visitor center is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
