Kepler Dam

Kepler Dam provides public boat ramp access to Kepler Lake, a smaller impoundment located in Jamestown, Bienville Parish. The launch is situated near the spillway and offers a convenient entry point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboat users. The lake features maintained channels to help boaters avoid stumps and other hazards, making navigation safer for paddlers unfamiliar with the water.

This is a basic, unimproved access point—boaters should be prepared to beach their vessels on natural shoreline rather than improved docking facilities. The compact size of Kepler Lake makes it well-suited for paddlers and smaller watercraft, as you can see across the entire lake from the main launch near the Piney Woods road bridge.
