About This Access Site
Kettle Cove in Manchester-by-the-Sea offers public ocean access via a concrete boat ramp maintained by the Wellington Yacht Club. The facility includes parking for approximately 10 vehicles and trailers located off Hooppole Road. This is a Department of Conservation and Recreation public launch site suitable for small boats, kayaks, and canoes accessing the Atlantic Ocean.

The ramp provides direct access from the head of the cove, with the option to drive back to the seawall for a better low-tide launch. Parking is free, though no additional facilities are available on-site. Given its ocean location, paddlers should be prepared for tidal influences and coastal conditions. The site's proximity to the Essex National Heritage Area makes it a convenient access point for exploring the rich maritime landscape of the North Shore.
