The Port of Keyport offers a public boat launch facility on Liberty Bay in Kitsap County, providing convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and small craft users. The recently renovated ramp (replaced in 2009 with modern concrete pilings) is a significant improvement over the previous launch and is now well-suited for recreational paddlers and boaters of various skill levels. A $5 per-use fee applies to launch from this facility.
Located at the entrance to Liberty Bay, Keyport serves as an excellent gateway for exploring Puget Sound waters and makes a practical stopping point for cruisers and day-trippers. The site includes amenities such as parking, restrooms, and picnic facilities. Guest moorage is also available for those needing overnight docking. Before launching, paddlers should check current conditions on Liberty Bay and be prepared for typical Puget Sound tidal currents and weather. Contact the Port of Keyport directly for current hours, any seasonal closures, and moorage availability.
